JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF · up to 25 MB & 2.5 megapixelsEnlarge low-resolution images with local AI super-resolution
AI super-resolution predicts a higher-resolution image from the source. It can make contours and textures look clearer than a simple stretch, but it can also invent details. Choose a representative image first and check important features at full size.
- Good candidates include small illustrations, thumbnails, and compressed stills.
- Check faces, logos, text, and repeating patterns for changes.
- Keep the original when exact source appearance matters more than inferred detail.
Make better thumbnails from low-quality video frames
Choose a sharp frame with minimal motion blur. Upscale the still, check its edges, and download it for use in your editor. Enhancing a single frame is useful for a cover image; it does not change the quality of the original video.
Private image enhancement without an account
Image inference runs in your browser after the model assets load. Select an image up to 25 MB and 2.5 megapixels. The model works at native 3×, with 2× and 4× results resampled from that prediction. Output is capped at 16 megapixels and 8192 pixels on either edge; use a smaller scale if needed. Your selected image is not sent to a processing server.
Common questions about this workflow
Why does the AI model take time to load the first time?
The browser downloads the model and its runtime before inference can begin. Later loads may use the browser cache. Your image remains local while those public model assets are downloaded.
Will AI make text in an image readable?
It may improve edges, but it cannot reliably reconstruct words that are missing or illegible. Check every character and keep the original for comparison. Do not use inferred text as evidence.
Can I upscale an already large photo?
The browser tool accepts images up to 25 MB and 2.5 megapixels, with output capped at 16 megapixels and 8192 pixels on either edge. Resize a larger source in another editor first, or select a smaller output scale. A larger output is not automatically a better-looking image.
