4K VIDEO UPSCALER

Upscale video to 4K with a clear, practical workflow

Take a compatible 1280 × 720 clip to 3840 × 2160 with native 3× AI. Generate a first-frame comparison before processing the full video. Clips must be 30 seconds or shorter and no larger than 100 MB.

Upscale 720p video to 4K at the model’s native 3× scale

A 1280 × 720 frame becomes 3840 × 2160 at 3×, with nine times as many pixels. That fits this tool’s 8,294,400-pixel output cap. Its source limit is 921,600 pixels, so 1080p input is currently rejected. AI predicts detail; 4K dimensions alone do not prove that authentic missing information has been recovered.

Choose a 4K target while preserving the video aspect ratio

Landscape 1280 × 720 at 3× produces 3840 × 2160; portrait 720 × 1280 produces 2160 × 3840. Both use the same allowed pixel count. A 720p source at 4× exceeds the output cap, so choose 3×. Smaller sources can use 2× or 4× outputs resampled from the native 3× AI prediction when their output fits the limit.

Test a short 4K video export before processing a full clip

Higher resolutions need more memory and encoding work. Generate a first-frame AI preview, then enhance a short representative clip and check the downloaded file. Even a permitted 4K output requires a browser encoder that supports those dimensions. Choose 2× or a smaller source if encoding fails; use a desktop application for larger inputs.

GOOD TO KNOW

Common questions about this workflow

Can AI turn every low-resolution video into perfect 4K?

No. A larger output has more pixels, but missing original detail cannot be recovered with certainty. AI may infer plausible texture. Always check faces, text, fine patterns, and movement against the original. This tool accepts video up to the pixel count of 720p; a 1280 × 720 source at 3× produces 3840 × 2160 output when your browser can encode it.

Does upscaling increase the file size?

It often does. Resolution, duration, frame rate, encoder, and bitrate all affect the final size. Doubling both dimensions produces four times as many pixels per frame, although a compressed file does not necessarily become four times larger.

Why does an export take longer than expected?

Every frame runs through local AI inference before encoding. Processing time depends on your device, frame count, and output dimensions and may greatly exceed the clip duration. Keep the tab visible, close memory-heavy applications, and try a shorter clip or smaller output scale if needed.
